ShopBot Tools Partners with StewMac to Inspire Instrument Builders with Innovative Content

January 9, 2025, Durham, NC — ShopBot Tools is excited to announce a groundbreaking
partnership with StewMac (Stewart-MacDonald Manufacturing), a leader in tooling, parts, and
educational media for string instrument building and repair. This collaboration, launching in January
2025, aims to inspire both professional luthiers and DIY builders through engaging content that
combines StewMac’s expertise with ShopBot’s innovative CNC technology.

As part of the partnership, StewMac will produce video tutorials and instructional content featuring
the ShopBot Desktop MAX ATC, a 36”x24” CNC machine with automatic tool-changing
capabilities. The videos will explore topics such as choosing the right CNC machine, making first
cuts, and creating complete projects like guitars and amplifier cabinets. The series is designed to
introduce luthiers of all skill levels to the transformative potential of digital fabrication, helping them
enhance their craft and grow their businesses.

StewMac, a trusted name in the music industry, is widely recognized for its high-quality tools, parts,
and resources for building, repairing, and customizing stringed instruments. The video series will be
available on StewMac’s website and YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/@stewmac and shared
regularly on StewMac and ShopBot’s social media platforms.

ShopBot has long served the music industry, with both small and large manufacturers benefiting from
the versatility, precision, and affordability of its CNC machines. “We’re thrilled to partner with
StewMac, whose expertise in the music industry aligns perfectly with our mission to empower
creators,” said Jeanne Taylor, CEO of ShopBot Tools. “This collaboration will showcase how our
products can unlock new possibilities for instrument builders everywhere.”

The partnership will also include a collaborative showcase of CNC projects at ShopBot Tools’ booth
(#4107) during the 2025 NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA, from January 23–25, 2025.
