ShopBot Training
At ShopBot, we believe that training is valuable for getting the most from your CNC, whether you’re brand new to CNC or an experienced user. We have partnered with the North Carolina Furniture School to offer a series of live training workshops, some for those just getting started, others for people looking for some more specialized options. Basic Training
Our 2-day Basic Training is a group training that takes students from an introduction about how ShopBots work to hands-on design and machining.
Tutorials & Videos
Our Tutorial and Video library allows you to learn at your own pace, on your own timeline. You’ll find topics ranging from tool set-up and maintenance, to information on design software, to tips on material cutting. Check back for new content, we regularly add to our online resources.
On-Site Training
Have one of our trainers come to your school or shop for training tailored to your specific needs. Available as an add-on to a tool purchase including an install/assembly visit, or it can be purchased separately for an individual or small group. Contact us for more details.
CNC Skill Builder Series
Build more confidence and expand your existing CNC skills with our Skill Builder virtual trainings. Learn with our long time ShopBot experts who have created step-by-step videos to take you from beginning to finished project. They’re FREE!
Intermediate Training
This 2-day Intermediate Training is a hands on group training for those that are already well-versed in CNC basics and would like to take their knowledge to the next level.
Virtual ShopBot Workshop
These online trainings are interactive through visual and audio demonstrations and are subject-specific. Topics are often derived from customer suggestions. These FREE trainings run 1-2 hours in length and are recorded for viewing later.
Digital Fabrication for Educators
This 2.5-day workshop begins with design and machining using ShopBot tools, then moves into cross-platform training involving other digital fabrication tools (i.e. laser cutters and 3D printers). There is also time specifically allotted for independent work and collaborative development.
ShopBots in Business
This 3-day workshop is a combination of business training with design and machining training utilizing ShopBot CNC tools.
Cabinet Making Workshop
Join us for a 2-day Cabinet Making Workshop where you’ll learn the basics of automated cabinetmaking using the CNC, along with tips and techniques that will bring efficiency and cost savings to your shop.
